Sérgio is the leader of the Photochemistry Group @ UC.
PhD in the Technical University of Lisbon. Professor at the University of Coimbra.
In 2006 he was awarded with the Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ)Award- Vicente Seabra Medal in recognition for the high quality, originality and autonomy of the research work developed in Chemistry in Portugal by an investigator with less than 40 years.
H-index = 46 (Google Scholar, and H-index= 41 in WoS-Publons) with more than 6600 citations and >200 publications.
